I value my privacy. It is only right if I value your privacy as well.

This website is a static site and doesn't collect any information about you. In fact, the server hosting this site is configured to only store the web pages and images you are seeing as well as some JavaScript code for cool features such as image gallery and smooth scroll-to-top animation.

Your IP address

I am not interested collecting your devices' IP addresses. They are no use to me in anyway, therefore I don't have a system so collect such information. This is a static site. But because this site is hosted by Neocities which may use CDNs such as AWS. I recommend using a trusted VPN provider such as  ProtonVPN, Mullvad, IVPN or Windscribe regardless.

Cookies and Consent

Do you want to know how I get away with not showing you a cookie consent banner or pop-up?

Simple. By not having any cookies.

Cookies (web jargon): Cookie is a small file a website creates and stores on your device. It can be something innocent such as "this person wants to see the pages in night (dark) mode even during day" or something invasive to your privacy such as "user of this device also visited these sites" and "user previously viewed these items in online store".

Analytics

I value human interactions over analytics. Thus, no analytics on this site. Instead there are 2 ways we can have a chat about a blog I wrote:

1. Mastodon posts as comment sections: Each blog post has a Mastodon post associated with it. Replies to that post is treated as comments to its associated blog post.
2. Email: You can send an email to comment@murtezayesil.me with blog post title as the subject to comment to that blog post.

I can also say that analytics on this site is opt-in, requiring deliberate action on your part.

This website is hosted by Neocities. Website dashboard on Neocities shows how many times my site was visited, but not which pages were visited. I don't check that number since it cannot provide a meaningful insight.
